The LWL maintains a total of 23 museums and visitor centers in Westphalia-Lippe.
The LWL-Museum Hellerlecht covers 90 hectares and is located in the immediate vicinity of Detmold city center. The museum’s mission is to showcase the culture and way of life of people who have lived in Westphalia and Lippe over the past 500 years.
